The basis of my core values includes, but are not limited to, trust, honesty, loyalty, commitment, optimism, and positivity. Relationship and family bonds are essential to me. It is these values that guided me to become a therapist. I am dedicated and passionate about providing quality care and helping people who are faced with mental health challenges and well-being or those who have difficulties with effectively coping with life events or stressors in healthy ways. I am committed to delivering care and treatment to clients that promotes overall health and wellness by educating clients and their family about mental health disorders and issues, as well as treatment options. I work diligently with clients to find solutions, learn, and apply effective coping skills, and to overcome their mental health challenges.

My clinical and life experiences have afforded me the ability to empathize with my clients and aligns with the creation and building of trust-based relationships. I work tirelessly with clients to assist them with finding solutions, learning, and applying effective evidence-based techniques and strategies, acquiring self-empowerment, and learning and applying self-regulation and/or anger management techniques to name a few.

I am a former elementary school teacher with over 9 years’ experience as a classroom teacher (including 2 years as a Special Education Resource Teacher). My experience as an educator contributes to how well I connect with school-aged children. In addition, many of the difficulties children face at school are familiar to me from my teaching years and helps me with achieving treatment goals with my younger clients.
I have been married to my husband Michael for over 30 years and have one daughter. I have two AMAZING grandsons to whom I am affectionately known as “Nai Nai” (Grandmother in Chinese). I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, son-in-law, grandsons, and other family members. I especially love traveling every opportunity I can get.
